Bare wires are not indicated in the diagrams, but are wired together and grounded to box (if metallic), and to grounding screw of plug. If the switch has a ground screw then connect it to bare, if the fixture has a grounding screw or a green wire then connect to ground (bare).
This converts the plug to an always on state.
If an unswitched source of power is needed to be carried onward from the switch then connect the onward cable to the circuit power cable black to black, white to white, bare to bare & box (if metallic).
If a 2nd fixture to be switched then connect an onward cable to the 1st fixture, black to black, white to white, bare to bare & box (if metallic).
For fixture's that have color connection screws and for the outlet plug, brass color screws are for the hot wire, and silver color screws are for the white neutral wire. Green screws are for ground.
