4-Way Switch Wiring Options

Questions about 1 – 4 way switches or 2 – 3 way switches (total of 3 switches controlling same fixture)? The following articles have the answers on how to do it yourself and wire these switches properly. Note: The wire feeding the actual fixture must NOT be white and must NOT be a white that has been remarked as a hot. A white wire may be used to feed the hot connection to the switch but not to the actual fixture connection. White wires feeding the hot connection to the switch or between switches must be re-designated by wrapping a piece of black electrical tape around both ends of the wire.
