How to Install Bathroom Cabinets At Home

Bathroom cabinets are usually installed above or next to the sink. If you are also installing a sink, put the cabinets in first. To prevent doors from getting damaged during the installation, remove them before you start with the task.

• Place the cabinet between the 2 x 4's in the stud wall. Now level the top of the cabinet frame and secure it.
• Mark a level line from this point across the wall. The middle cabinet goes in first. Slide the bathroom cabinet into place, level the top, and secure it to the wall studs with drywall screws. Flush and plumb all the other cabinets. Use a wooden clamp to tie the front frames together and screw them together properly.
• Leave a gap where the cabinet meets the wall. Fill it in with a trim piece of wood cut to fit snugly in the gap. Screw through the cabinet's side frame into the side of the trim to join them.
• Once the gap is covered with wooden trim, the cabinet and the wooden trim are joined. The only thing you have left to do is to fasten all the doors of the cabinet. Secure all the doors to the cabinet one by one and screw them properly.
